Job Title: Medical Secretary | Fertility Clinic

This role is based on site permanently
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)
Salary: Competitive (dependent on skills and experience) + Pension and benefits

We’re looking for a Medical Secretary to join our dedicated Fertility team at The Lister Hospital in the heart of Chelsea, London.
In this role, you’ll support 10 consultants along side the current team of four medical secretaries and a medical secretary supervisor. You will personally cover two consultants, however everyone in the team covers each other when on leave.

Duties include being responsible for the registration of patients, appropriate management of patient appointments, liaising with patients and hospital staff as required in order to facilitate this. You will also undertake any other duties as called upon to carry out by the Medical Secretary Supervisor.
What you’ll do:
Provide full secretarial support to the practice (including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc) including those of a sensitive nature, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Arrange investigations and consultations using hospital data systems.
Manage other correspondence and telephone contacts appropriately.
Maintain and file accurate patient records, including appropriate patient case note filing, and preparation of relevant clinic notes prior to Outpatient Clinics which take place on a daily basis.
What you’ll bring:
Previous Medical Secretarial experience is essential.
Significant understanding of Medical terminology/ ideally fertility.
Strong attention to detail, accurate typing and letter proof reading skills.
Computer literacy.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of Meditex would be an advantage.
