The Princess Grace Hospital is currently recruiting a Lead Duty Nurse Manager to join the Team!
Reporting to the Medical Matron, the role of the Lead Duty Nurse Manager is to lead and operationally manage a twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week, Clinical Site Management team to ensure the provision of effective site management, including direct responsibility for the management and direction of bed usage and admission pathways throughout the hospital.
The Lead Duty Nurse Manager will keep the CNO and Senior Leadership team updated regarding flow, blockages and solutions, and will work collaboratively with the Matrons
The post involves operational leadership of all site issues, alongside facilitating patient flow throughout the clinical areas. This is with the objective of ensuring that the patient is admitted in a timely fashion, receives the right treatment in the right place and is signposted to alternative service providers in accordance with agreed pathways and protocols of care.
The Lead Duty Nurse Manager and the Duty Nurse Manager (DNM) team will oversee all clinical operations and supports the non-clinical teams to manage the hospital safely and efficiently. After hours, the DNM is the most senior nurse on site, and assumes responsibility for medical gasses, safe management of medicines, safe staffing, safeguarding, incident management and delivery of safe care and treatment
