About the Role:
The Harley Street Clinic (THSC) in London are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join our exceptional radiotherapy team. Prior experience with MR Linac technology is not required - full, comprehensive training and continuous support will be provided to ensure you develop the expertise needed to thrive in this pioneering field. You will work alongside some of the UK’s leading oncology consultants, harnessing the latest innovations in radiotherapy, including state-of-the-art MR-guided technology and some of the most advanced therapies currently licenced worldwide.
With exceptionally strong colleague-to-patient ratios, you will have the time and resources to deliver truly personalised, bespoke care. Beyond the clinical work, you will have opportunities to contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical projects, as well as to participate in service development networks, clinical governance, MDT meetings, and patient experience forums.

Duties:
- MR Linac Clinical Service Provision: Oversee and help deliver high-quality, patient-centred radiotherapy services using MR Linac technology, ensuring treatment is in line with best practice guidelines and clinical protocols. Support the continuous development of the MR Linac clinical programme through innovation and collaboration.
- Quality and Governance: Actively contribute to clinical governance activities including incident reporting, clinical audit, risk management, service evaluation, and policy development. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure that patient safety, experience, and clinical effectiveness remain at the heart of service delivery.
- Management and Leadership: Provide visible, supportive leadership within the radiation oncology team. Contribute to the planning and development of cancer services, participate in business planning discussions, and support service improvements. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with the Centre’s values and strategic objectives.
- Training and Development: Support the training and supervision of consultant clinical oncologists, fellows, radiographers, and allied health professionals. Contribute to education programmes, professional development initiatives, and foster a culture of learning and excellence across the service.
- Liaison with Key Stakeholders: Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including referring clinicians, hospital partners, professional bodies, and patient advocacy groups. Act as a clinical ambassador for the service, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Research: Engage in clinical research, innovation projects, and trials where opportunities arise, particularly within the MR-guided radiotherapy field. Promote a research-active environment by supporting the generation of new knowledge and the translation of evidence into clinical practice.
- Multidisciplinary Team Participation: Participate actively in MDT meetings, providing expert clinical input into treatment planning and decision-making to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Patient Care Excellence: Deliver highly personalised, compassionate care tailored to individual patient needs, supported by strong colleague-to-patient ratios and a commitment to service excellence.
- Professionalism and Personal Development, Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, adhere to national and local standards of clinical practice, and participate fully in annual appraisal and revalidation processes. Proactively engage with CPD activities to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.
What you’ll bring:
- GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practise in the UK, CCT on the Specialist Register.
- Full FRCR qualification (or equivalent).
- A minimum of four years’ experience working at consultant level (or equivalent in clinical oncology).
- A strong passion for teamwork and patient-focused care, with the ability to build and share best practice and deliver a truly first-class patient experience.
- A desire to develop and grow within the role, supporting the ongoing expansion and innovation of our cancer services.
